CCF and MNsure Highlight Just How Much You Can Save

MINNEAPOLIS (November 27, 2018) – Would you walk away from $7,000? Nope, neither would we.

Clarity Coverdale Fury (CCF), in partnership with client MNsure, recently launched an updated multimedia campaign to kick the start of open enrollment for the Minnesota State Health Insurance Exchange. The new elements of the campaign target Minnesotans who buy their own health insurance and don’t realize they qualify for significant tax credits because they think they earn too much money. Results have shown that 55% of eligible Minnesotans missed out on these tax credits by not going through MNsure to get their health insurance.

“Our primary research found that Minnesotans have a better understanding of what MNsure is, viewing it as a program that lets them compare plans and find out if they qualify for financial help. However, there is still confusion around what income levels qualify for help or the amount of help available,” said Jim Landry, Executive Creative Director at CCF. “The new work in the campaign highlights just how easy it can be to determine your eligibility—and highlights the potential savings.”

Too many Minnesotans feel that MNsure isn’t for them based on their income levels, resulting in over 75,000 eligible people missing out on saving money. The average state-wide tax credit for the most recent enrollment period was nearly $7,000 per year. The new campaign hopes to reinforce that MNsure offers a stable program that can help prevent individuals from overpaying on health insurance. It also helps bring this message to the forefront in an approachable way, reiterating that MNsure is for everyone.

The new work—including two broadcast TV spots, a radio spot and web videos—are the latest additions to MNsure’s broader enrollment campaign that reaches both the private plan and public program-eligible audiences.
